The Rainbow Flag Award (RFA)
The Rainbow Flag Award is a national quality assurance framework for all schools and colleges. The award focuses on positive LGBT+, (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, plus other related identities), inclusion and visibility.
Ilford County High School is proud to have achieved the Rainbow Flag Award, a national quality assurance framework for schools and youth organisations. This award demonstrates our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
Through the Rainbow Flag Award, we have:
- Embedded LGBTQ+ inclusion across our curriculum.
- Provided staff training to ensure understanding and support.
- Developed policies that promote equality and challenge discrimination.
- Engaged with students and the wider community to celebrate diversity.
