Sixth Form Dress Code

Students at ICHS dress smartly in ‘Business Attire’. Our Sixth Formers set a positive example for the younger students in the school and by dressing smartly they demonstrate the positive attitudes, hard work and professional attitude that they have towards their studies.

Business Professional Attire

  • Students must wear professional business attire (suit OR smart blazer with trousers or kilt) and shirt with tie.

  • Students can wear smart knitwear under their suit jacket or blazer. Hoodies, sweatshirts and logos jumpers are not permitted.

  • Students must always wear their school lanyard.

  • Trainers and rings are not allowed.

  • Jewellery must be subtle and stud earrings only.

  • Facial hair (beards, moustaches, stubble) should be neatly groomed.

PE and Games Kit

All students will need:

  • Black or white sports branded or plain t-shirt

  • Black or white sports branded or plain shorts 

  • Sports socks 

  • Sports branded or plain jogging bottoms 

  • Sports branded or plain or sweatshirts (No hoodies)

  • A predominantly white, clean pair of trainers that are practical and not fashionable, with suitable ankle support (non marking sole) for indoor use (compulsory item)

  • Appropriate football boots(compulsory item) Shin pads (compulsory item)

Outer Clothing

Coats should not be worn indoors. When boys are travelling to and from school, it is expected that their appearance will be a credit to the school and to their homes. No particular colour or length of outer clothing is stipulated; the only requirement is that the boys must look respectable. No "hoodies" or denim jackets are permitted.
