Dress Code
Students at ICHS dress smartly in ‘Business Attire’. Our Sixth Formers set a positive example for the younger students in the school and by dressing smartly they demonstrate the positive attitudes, hard work and professional attitude that they have towards their studies.
- Students wear their ID badge and lanyard visible around their neck at all times
- Smart, professional dress at ICHS is:
- A suit
- A plain shirt with a collar
- A tie
- A pair of plain smart shoes
- A V neck jumper is also allowed on colder days.
- Facial hair (beards, moustaches, stubble) must be neatly groomed
- When students are travelling to and from school, it is expected that their appearance will be a credit to the school and to their homes. No particular colour or length of outer clothing is stipulated; the only requirement is that the boys must look respectable. No “hoodies” or denim jackets are permitted. Coats should not be worn inside the building.
- The following items are not permitted:
- Jewellery (a single small stud ear-ring may be worn in either ear)
- Hairstyles liable to draw attention
- Trainers (as normal wear) or heavy boots.
- PE and games kit
- Black or White sports branded or plain t-shirt
- Black or white sports branded or plain shorts
- Sports socks
- Sports branded or plain jogging bottoms or sweatshirts (no hoodies)
- A predominantly white, clean pair of trainers that are practical and not fashionable, with suitable ankle support (non marking sole) for indoor use (compulsory item)
- Appropriate football boots (compulsory item)
- Shin pads (compulsory item)
